Latest USDA FAS Data Release
As we reach to the middle of 2025, we have a good snapshot of what the currente trade situation has looked like, even amidst significant trade impacts and uncertainty. Highlighted below is this weeks USDA FAS weekly beef and pork export shipents, highlighting the latest trends year-to-date. Stay tuned for our latest reports and forecasts looking ahead.
Beef Exports
Weekly U.S. beef exports were up +33% over the previous week, totaling 14,542 metric tons for the reporting week.
Top Destinations:
Korea - 5,452 MT
Japan - 4,168 MT
Mexico - 1,280 MT
Tawian - 1,263 MT
Others - 876 MT
Canada - 760 MT
Hong Kong - 549 MT
China - 394 MT

AgriValues, USDA
Weekly beef shipments from the U.S. have lagged behind 2024 and 2023, noting how the tight U.S. beef herd numbers have greatly affected the flow of U.S. beef compared to the prior years.
For the latest reporting week of June 5, 2025, U.S. beef exports are down -12.2% over the same week last year, with CMY outstanding sales down - 20.4%, and accumulated exports YTD down -9.1%.

Pork Exports
Weekly U.S. pork export shipments are up +40.2% over the previous reporting week, totaling 33,761 MT.
Top Destinations:
Mexico - 12,771 MT
Japan - 5,084 MT
Colombia - 4,141 MT
China - 3,186 MT
Korea - 2,460 MT
Canada - 1,410 MT
Dominican Rep - 1,308 MT
Others - 3,401 MT

USDA FAS weekly exports for the week ending 6/5/2025 were up +2.9% over the same reporting week in 2024, with accumulated exports down -14.3% over 2024.
